Email Marketing Tips - History

Update on Feb. 8, 2013: Deleted all entries with outdated tips or broken links.

I just got word that we are discontinuing the Email Marketing Tips Blog Carnival. The email marketing tips 16th edition has been the last edition so far.

Update: The carnival is continuing. Read edition 18 of email marketing tips next.

Why?

The reasons are twofold.

(1) The top dogs are not contributing their blog posts anymore.

(2) If we have to scan the Web for good content ourselves, what is a blog carnival good for then?

As the quality of carnivals has declined over the last couple of month so has the effectiveness and resulting traffic.

Email Marketing Tips - Edition 16

Update on Feb. 8, 2013: Deleted all entries with outdated tips or broken links.

Welcome to the sixteenth edition of email marketing tips on January 20, 2009.

The first edition of email marketing tips in 2009 is packed with information. I am not talking about the number of blog posts that I am featuring. No. I have thrown out almost all that got submitted. What's left is worthy of your attention and time. Lean back, read and enjoy.

At this time I am considering probably changing the schedule to one carnival every three weeks. We will see. I did not make up my mind on this so far. Only one fact remains unchallenged. I tend to keep the quality of this carnival up and will only give you noteworthy articles to read.

Already in 2008 I featured many articles that were not submitted by their authors but were rather found by myself on the internet. I see this trend might continue, because at least 85% of the submitted articles don't qualify according to my set quality standards.
“Less is more in that respect!”

I also will add more video to the blog in general and this carnival as well.

Today's categories are as follows:
  • Copywriting
  • Email Marketing For Bloggers
  • Code Of Practice

Email Marketing Tips - Edition 15

Update on Feb. 8, 2013: Deleted all entries with outdated tips or broken links.

Welcome to the fifteenth edition of email marketing tips on December 12, 2008.

When I showed this carnival edition to my assistant Jennifer before I published it she said, “This is really a noteworthy issue for concluding the series this year.” Right, my friends, the year 2008 is almost over and I will take a break from this carnival for one month. You should take a break too and enjoy Christmas and New Years Eve with your family. Therefore, the next edition #16 will be published next year on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009. See you then after “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

Today's categories are as follows:
  • Code Of Practice
  • Strategy
  • Email Marketing For Bloggers
  • Copywriting

Let's dive right into it. Aweber has some terrific tips for you. That's why I put this category to the front this time.

Email Marketing Tips - Edition 13

Update on Feb. 8, 2013: Deleted all entries with outdated tips or broken links.

Welcome to the thirteenth edition of email marketing tips on November 10, 2008.

This week's edition comes to you two days early. Better than late,… What do you think?

My favorite article this week has been written by Yaro Starak, who explains to us how he profited big time from better targeting the message to his readers. Improving the conversion rate of your email campaigns is almost like free money. It's amazing, but over time you can give yourself a great pay raise. One that your boss — if you still have a boss — could and would never give you.

Of course, I continue with Chris Garrett's tips as well and finally I contribute two posts of my own as well. The categories of today's issue are:
  • featured article
  • tools and services
  • strategy
  • email marketing for bloggers by Chris Garrett
  • code of practice
