Email Stats - Free Versus Help For Johnny Bunko's Career

Daniel Pink
Daniel H. Pink

Now it's offical: “Stay Hungry” has been chosen as the best career advice for lesson 7 of Daniel Pink's book The Adventures of Johnny Bunko: The Last Career Guide You'll Ever Need .

Becky Blanton wins with “Stay Hungry”
It was a land-slide victory for Becky Blanton. She says,
“I'm going to TED, but those whose stories are told on the blog at bookybiz.biz are going with me. In the coming months the blog will be redesigned in order to highlight and showcase those people who are both ‘Staying hungry’ AND ‘Saying Thanks’ as Ed Brenegar and I team up to spread OUR ideas.

In July I'll be blogging and vlogging about TED on that site as well.

My dream is that my win will bring more traffic, attention and help to ALL of you who are not only staying hungry and saying thanks, but are giving back and leaving an imprint in this world. With nearly 5,000 votes cast - the stories and efforts of many charities are getting out. Thank you […]”

Thanks to those of your who have supported my call for help. I know you are many. That brings me to the second part of this blog post.

New Beginning - Yes You Can

Yes We Can
Most of my readers are living in the USA. I want to wish them the best for the future.

As I am writing this post the video which I have embedded here got 15,514,304 views within the one year since it has been put online. I wish my videos were that popular. :-)

Since I have lived in the USA for quite some time, mostly in the 90s, I have a certain sentiment for people and country. That's why.

Best wishes for the years to come.

Yours
John

P.S.: Now continue to watch the video and read the inspiring lyrics.

List Building Strategies - Video Course

Michael Rasmussen's “Get More Buyers” Video Course:
Stuff Your List Full Of Buyers And Start Seeing Five and Six Figures

Ever wondered how online marketers can send an email and see $2,500 or $5,000 or even $25,000 or more flow right into their bank account?

It probably seems like magic… or a scam. But let me tell you, it's neither one. In fact, it's pretty easy once you have the business tool these big-profit marketers have. And Michael Rasmussen's new “Get More Buyers” video course shows you how to get it.

As my reader you know that I am not promoting many products, but you might remember the name Michael Rasmussen from this blog. I let him join the small club of marketers, whom I trust. This is just a new, amazing, hot product.

Tribes - A leadership book written by Seth Godin

Seth Godin got into the habit of doing something special with every book launch. His latest book Tribes is accompanied by a private social network Seth had created in August. Currently Triiibes.com has 3662 members.

The inside of the book cover of Tribes shows the avatars of some members of this network. You will remember that I wrote, “I got an invitation from Seth to join his network”. Yes, I am in. However, I did not make it on the cover… To bad. Not really. I just created a video showing all 3,662 members in 2 minutes and 2 seconds.

That’s why Jim has become one of the Industry’s most sought after consultants and public speakers.

Jim focuses on helping businesses… (more about Jim Kukral)
I have a lot RSS feeds in my Google Reader, but I keep it manageable by cleaning out on a regular basis. One feed that I added rather recently is Jim Kukral's Blog. And I am happy that he finally made it into my reader.

Jim publishes daily videos called “The Daily Flip”. His latest one caught my attention. It's called,
No, Email Isn't Dead… Yet

Jim plays along with me in my age category, but he suddenly reminds me and everybody else who watches the flip…
  • Your future market might live on another cloud already.

Did you ever observe how people in different age groups communicate?

You should! Those communication habits are heavily influenced by social groups. In most cases nobody could anticipated those developments. E.g.
  • SMS (the short messaging service between mobile phones) were a technical gimmick.
  • Twitter
  • Messaging on Facebook, MySpace,…

The point is, a marketer needs to observe social phenomenons and be aware of changes. The old saying remains to be true:
“You are not your market!”

If you want to reach out to your market, you need to behave like one of them, and eventually become one of them.

Now check put Jim's video flip: No, Email Isn't Dead… Yet

Yours
John W. Furst

P.S.: Thanks Jim for your insight and the reminder.
