Email Marketing Tips - Edition 13

Update on Feb. 8, 2013: Deleted all entries with outdated tips or broken links.

Welcome to the thirteenth edition of email marketing tips on November 10, 2008.

This week's edition comes to you two days early. Better than late,… What do you think?

My favorite article this week has been written by Yaro Starak, who explains to us how he profited big time from better targeting the message to his readers. Improving the conversion rate of your email campaigns is almost like free money. It's amazing, but over time you can give yourself a great pay raise. One that your boss — if you still have a boss — could and would never give you.

Of course, I continue with Chris Garrett's tips as well and finally I contribute two posts of my own as well. The categories of today's issue are:
  • featured article
  • tools and services
  • strategy
  • email marketing for bloggers by Chris Garrett
  • code of practice

featured article

Yaro Starak presents How Email Segmentation Made My List Stronger AND $31,940 More Profitable posted at Entrepreneurs-Journey.com by Yaro Starak, saying, “The results from using the new AWeber features are stunning and outweigh the additional service costs many fold.”

John's comment: Don't leave money on the table!

tools and services

John W. Furst presents List Building Strategies - Video Course posted at E-Biz Booster Blog, saying, “I only trust a handful of Internet marketers. Michael Rasmussen is one of them. I did not write the review for freebie seekers, only for serious folks, who want to do serious business online.”

John's comment: Michael knows how to win affiliate contests very often, and he knows how to teach that “stuff”

John W. Furst presents Email Sequence Follow-Up Hassles posted at E-Biz Booster Blog, saying, “You should use follow-up autoresponders in your marketing. But wait! Before changing it read this article. It will save you from some hassle.”

John's comment: Shame on me even myself messed it up.

strategy

Vinai Prakash presents How to Maintain Contact with Your Prospects Automatically posted at Vinai's eMarketing Ideas For You, saying, “Multiple ideas, steps, strategies on email marketing, auto responders to build trust and loyalty with your prospects and customers.”

John's comment: Right, autoresponder follow-up series is the solution.

email marketing for bloggers by Chris Garrett

I present you Email Marketing Tips: Introduction to Email Copywriting posted at Chris Garrett on New Media. Chris is saying, “When you are writing an email for broadcast to your list it is best to think of it as from you to one person. It is not a Superbowl ad, it is a letter from one individual to another.”

John's comment: The email copy — especially the subject line — makes or breaks your campaign. Pay attention to Chris' tips here.

Code Of Practice

That concludes this edition.

Now, continue with edition 14 of email marketing tips .
